LUZ wins First Horizon Award!

Such a lovely surprise! My debut novel LUZ, published in 2020, is a WINNER again: 2024 First Horizon Award!

Each year, the Eric Hoffer Award presents the First Horizon Award for superior work by debut authors (i.e the first published book of any type by the author). 

When I was submitting my 2023 novel, JOSIE AND VIC, for contests, I saw a category under the Eric Hoffer Awards for Legacy novels, meaning works published in past years. So I submitted LUZ for the Legacy Award—winner to be announced in May. To my joy, I received the news that LUZ was a finalist in a category I wasn’t aware of—First Horizon Award for debut novels. Now I’ve learned that LUZ won! I am beyond grateful.

My sweet LUZ just keeps surprising me. Published four years ago, she still shines. ❤️🕯️
