A Kinder World

All of our lives have changed dramatically. For many, it’s the first time we have experienced the uncertainty and fear that refugees and immigrants have endured throughout history. Perhaps once this nightmare has passed, we will be more open-hearted to the suffering around us. I think now of Syria and, of course, the misery at our southern border. May our love for family, friends, community, and country multiply over the distances, beyond borders and oceans, and help us pull through this crisis to a kinder world.
